default
The default index allows you to apply the same value for all indices of a non-scalar parameter, time series or option.
For example, a parameter Initial_Age has different values for different people (it depends on individual). The study targets a hundred individuals, where all but one is 7 years old at the beginning of the investigated period. By entering the value 7 for the Default index, this value is assigned to all 100 indices.
The default value only applies where no other value/equation has been written, allowing you to override the value for specific indices. Thus, you can enter the value 6 for George.
| Indvidual | Value |
|---|---|
| Default | 7 |
| Gregory | 7 |
| Arnauld | 7 |
| George | 6 |
| Kenny | 7 |
For two or three dimensional blocks, you can also assign default values for each list index list.
